The former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi hit out at the govt and its “smart lockdown”, saying the Centre had no concrete decide to affect the coronavirus pandemic.

Addressing the National Assembly session, the previous prime minister said that four ministers spoke on the ground but they didn't tell anything about “what goes on within the country”.

Shahid Khaqan said the rulers do errors of calculations or they're under some illusion as they're issuing advice, but taking no tangible action to affect the upcoming situation. He was of the view that when the planet is open and it can't be predicted with a fair amount of certainty that Pakistan also will be freed from the virus thanks to the rationale that the govt isn’t following what the international fraternity is posing for in handling the pandemic. “It could cause dissatisfaction of the planet community,” Abbasi said.

The PML-N leader impressed upon the necessity to figure in line with the planet's opinion and guidance of the international bodies concerned. the previous prime minister said the govt has made the country a laughing stock within the eyes of world opinion because the whole world is fighting with the pandemic but the govt in Pakistan has locked its horns with the opposition and its critics.

Pakistan not as suffering from coronavirus like other countries

Earlier while addressing the ground of the House, Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood said that the govt has decided to require everyone along as we affect the pandemic.

“Pakistan has not been affected with coronavirus as badly as other countries. Since we would like to stay everyone on an equivalent page, we established the National Coordination Committee and National Command and Control Centre,” he said.

Speaking about the criticism about the lockdown within the country, Mehmood said that those criticizing it had no idea about the daily wagers and therefore the poor. “Coronavirus has affected the poor the foremost. due to the lockdown, the daily wagers, and therefore the laborers had been the foremost affected.”

He added the govt has already launched Tele School, which was educating students of varied classes from eight within the morning till six within the evening.
Mehmood added that each one of the choices had been taken in consultation with provinces and other stakeholders regarding the closure of faculties and cancellation of board exams.
The minister said the govt took precautionary measures like imposing lockdown and closure of educational institutions, marriage halls, and transport to stop the spread of the pandemic.


He added that said efforts were also being made to support downtrodden and poor people that had been affected thanks to lockdown.
Political point scoring will remove our attention from coronavirus
Addressing the ground of the House, former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf said that political point-scoring will remove our attention from the important issue which was the coronavirus pandemic.

“At this point, we'd like to be united and work together to defeat the pandemic,” he said.

“The prime minister is that the health minister also and it's his responsibility to point out a Northern Alliance. The speaker has involved the national leadership and only through a national consensus will the difficulty be solved,” Ashraf noted.

He added, “The prime minister came, did a speech and left without taking note of anyone. This attitude has put a mark on the way we are handling the pandemic. The National Assembly session was called in order that we all could find an answer to the problems.
